More than a year will pass until the iPhone 2023 (likely the iPhone 15) is introduced. However, we already know a great deal about this item. The most recent leak concerns the iPhone 15 Pro’s camera system.
According to MacRumors, the iPhone 15 series will include a periscope camera in at least one form. The periscope bends light to boost a smartphone’s zoom without the need for a larger telephoto lens.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo earlier predicted that the functionality will debut on the iPhone 14 Pro this year. He recently predicted that it would appear in the iPhone 15 Pro.
This capability has been available on Android phones for quite some time. Samsung and Huawei already sell phones with a periscope lens that allows for a 10x optical magnification. The iPhone 13 Pro, on the other hand, has a 3x magnification limit. Of course, the iPhone 13’s camera is capable of much more than just zoom, and it is one of the greatest camera smartphones available.
Of course, there will be certain improvements to the iPhone 14 camera that will be worth the wait. The main sensor on the Pro versions is expected to be enhanced from the existing 12 MP to 48 MP. The camera will also be able to record 8K footage. It will be accompanied by an ultra-wide camera and a telephoto lens.
In addition, Apple appears to be planning to remove the SIM card slot entirely from the iPhone 14 generation.
