An image of the future iPhone 14 case was recently released on the social media platform Weibo. It depicts the size of the devices’ back camera clusters (supposedly significantly larger than the iPhone 13 series from last year).
iPhone 14 case shows many camera improvements
Apple will focus on larger iPhone sizes this year after dismal sales of the iPhone 13 mini. Apple is expected to release four iPhone 2022 models, including the iPhone 14 6.1 inch, iPhone 14 Max 6.7 inch, iPhone 14 Pro 6.1 inch, and iPhone 14 Pro Max 6.7 inch, according to reports.
Although the main design is unlikely to change, the camera system is expected to be significantly improved. As a result, the camera protrusion will increase by around 5%. (the biggest difference is the Pro model as you can see in the picture).
All iPhone 14 models are likely to receive an upgrade to the device’s Ultra Wide camera on the back. Meanwhile, the Pro version is rumored to have major upgrades to the main wide-angle camera as well as telephoto lens updates.
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 14 Pro models would feature a 48MP wide-angle camera. This would be a significant upgrade over the present 12-megapixel camera, which can also shoot 8K video.
Pixel-binning allows the 48-megapixel camera in the iPhone 14 Pro models to capture 12-megapixel photographs. Pixel binning improves low-light sensitivity by combining data from several tiny pixels on the camera’s image sensor into one “superpixel.”
