Ming-Chi Kuo is an analyst with many years of experience in Apple products. In the past, he has repeatedly commented that the Face ID under the screen will appear on the iPhone 15.
Recently, however, the analyst changed his prediction. He said that Touch ID under the screen will launch in 2024 on the iPhone 16.
My prediction is the same – under-display Face ID coming in 2024 (iPhone 16), and this time schedule is less of a technical issue and more of a marketing purpose. //t.co/yK17YkQEEX

According to Kuo, the problem with Apple right now is not a technical barrier. Delaying the launch of this feature makes more marketing sense.
On this issue, another analyst, Ross Young, also agrees with Kuo’s view. However, he further mentioned that Face ID under the screen will be available on the iPhone 16 and Touch ID is unlikely to be.
