With a new chip and operating system, the iPhone SE 2022 has just been announced. So, devices like the first-generation iPhone SE will continue to function normally?
The original iPhone SE running iOS 15 appears to be in good functioning order. This is Apple’s advantage when it comes to supporting aging hardware after so many years (the first iPhone SE was released 6 years ago). In instance, the iPhone 6S, which debuted with iOS 9, was still upgraded to iOS 15, whereas the Galaxy S6, which debuted with Android 5, was only updated to Android 7 before being discontinued.
First generation iPhone SE
Early in 2016, Apple released the first iPhone SE. With a screen size of 5.5 inches, the iPhone 6S was Apple’s largest iPhone at the time. The iPhone’s screen border was still rather thick at the time.
The iPhone SE was created with the intention of appealing to people who desire a small screen phone with many of the capabilities found on higher-end iPhone models. In fact, Apple will omit some aspects in order to make this version more affordable than the high-end models.
Despite the fact that the original iPhone SE has been updated to iOS 15, it is still slower to launch and operate various programs than the new iPhones due to some old technology (but they will certainly be faster than the iPhone 3G with iOS 4 or iOS 7 with iPhone 4).
With the current state of the original iPhone SE, users may rest assured that the iPhone SE 2022 will continue to suit their demands for many years to come.
