Apple’s AR headset to use MacBook Pro 14 96W power supply

Apple's AR headset will use the same hardware as the MacBook Pro.

Ming-Chi Kuo, in a paper delivered to investors, anticipates that Apple’s AR/VR headset would use the same 96W power supply as the MacBook Pro 14. Apple’s wearable will include two CPUs, one with a 4nm process and the other with a 5nm process.

If the device requires a 96W charger, it’s possible that the computing power will be similar to that of the MacBook Pro 14. It’s also possible that the 96W adapter will charge the headset faster than expected.

Apple will ship 3 million devices by 2023, 8-10 million units per year by 2025, and 15-20 million units by 2025, according to Kuo.

Apple’s technological breakthroughs in the industry, he predicts, will outperform the competition by 2-3 years and provide an unequaled experience. The first headset will be announced this year, but only in restricted quantities will be available.
