A recently surfaced image on social media platform X, showcasing dummy models of the upcoming iPhone 16 lineup (including iPhone 16 Pro Max), has sparked a buzz. While whispers suggest the design language remains largely unchanged from the current generation, Apple might be implementing a few tweaks that could alter how these phones feel in your hand.
One of the most significant rumored adjustments pertains to the screen size of the Pro models. The iPhone 16 Pro is expected to boast a sizable 6.3-inch display, while its bigger sibling, the Pro Max, could potentially reach a whopping 6.9 inches. The non-Pro variants are said to retain their current dimensions, with the iPhone 16 sporting a 6.1-inch screen and the Plus model clocking in at 6.7 inches.
The image, uploaded by industry insider Sonny Dickson, appears to corroborate these speculations. The Pro models are noticeably larger compared to their non-Pro counterparts, a distinction not present in the current lineup. The Pro Max, in particular, seems particularly imposing.

They might ditch the current diagonal arrangement in favor of a vertical setup, with the flash unit relocated outside the camera bump itself. This realignment is rumored to pave the way for Apple to introduce spatial video recording capabilities on the regular and Plus models.
Unfortunately, as the leaked image only offers a glimpse of the phones’ backs, it doesn’t reveal other rumored tweaks such as the possible inclusion of an Action button on the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, or the camera-centric Capture Button.
The biggest takeaway from this leak seems to be the sheer size of the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Opinions are divided on this potential change. Additionally, rumors suggest the phones might be slightly heavier than their predecessors, which could be a slight disappointment considering a major selling point of the iPhone 15 Pro was its lighter weight compared to the iPhone 14 Pro.
