Some few days ago, I heard that the iPhone 15 would be the first iPhone without a physical SIM card slot. On the other side, Forbes just reported something even more shocking: the iPhone 14 could be the first iPhone without a SIM card slot.
Do you think that’s true? Isn’t that fascinating?
Before revising the design of the iPhone or another of the Apple’s products, the company normally conducts extensive testing. For the past couple of years, Apple has been releasing a dual-sim version of the iPhone.
However, the iPhone 14 could lead the way in even more major changes. Specifically, the iPhone 2022 generation will fully support eSIM. As a result, the iPhone 14 will be the first to lack a physical SIM card slot.
Back in 2012, Apple was one of the first to use the Nano-SIM, with the iPhone 5. Nano-SIMs, on the other hand, are unpopular due to their small, easily misplaced size. Everything will be simpler with eSIM.
