Yamaha claimed that the 23.2 Ah battery and 72 km operating range of the Yamaha Neo electric scooter were built in Vietnam.
According to Tech News Daily, this makes sense given that Yamaha just started building the Neo in Vinh Phuc in March 2022. Yamaha beat out Honda, Piaggio, Vespa, and Suzuki to introduce electric motorcycles in the Vietnamese market with the Yamaha Neo.
Yamaha Neo is only available in Vietnam for 50 million VND. Even less expensive than VinFast Vento is this price (2115$).
Utilizing LED technology, the Yamaha Neo’s LCD dashboard provides comprehensive information and supports smartphone connectivity via the Y-connect app. A USB charging port and a smart lock system are also located in the front storage compartment. The 27 liter under-seat storage space can accommodate two full-face helmets as well as other personal items.
The vehicle is powered by a brushless DC motor block with a 3 HP, 138.3 Nm torque rating, and a built-in 23.2 Ah lithium-ion battery. With ideal conditions of a speed of 30 km/h and a rider weight of 75 kg, the range is 72 km on a full charge.
The car battery needs eight hours to fully charge using a residential charger. The automobile battery can be removed and charged (you can, of course, plug it into the car).
The Yamaha Neo has a drum brake on the back wheel and a single disc brake up front. a set of two 13-inch cast wheels with front and rear tires measuring 110/70 and 130/70 respectively. Weight with battery: 98 kg.
