China’s BOE signed an arrangement with Apple earlier this year to provide OLED display panels for the next iPhone 14 series. The agreement appears to have hit a hitch in May, when BOE was discovered to have modified the display circuit design arbitrarily. Apple was forced to halt all of its orders as a result of this.
Apple still uses BOE’s OLED screen for iPhone 14
Apple is re-evaluating BOE’s OLED displays, according to The Elec of Korea, and can order significant quantities.
According to sources familiar with the situation, if BOE receives approval from Cupertino, it would attempt to begin producing displays at full capacity between July and August.
According to the source, BOE’s OLED displays would be utilized on the iPhone 14 and 14 Max, while Samsung and LG panels will be used on the iPhone 14 Pro series.
