While rumors concerning the iPhone 14 series continue to circulate, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo abruptly suggested the iPhone 2024 – which might be the iPhone 16. The expert stated earlier today in a tweet This research contains the most recent projections about the Face ID technology that will be embedded beneath the screen on future high-end iPhone models.
Face ID under the screen will appear on the iPhone 16?
A few weeks ago, Kuo confirmed with analyst Ross Young that the iPhone 16 series would feature Face ID under the screen. At the time, the analyst predicted that Face ID will appear beneath the screen on the iPhone 16. He stated that the delay is not primarily attributable to engineering, but rather to the company’s marketing strategy.
According to current reports, the iPhone 14 will include a pill-shaped camera on the standard model and a punch-hole camera on the Pro model. A year later, all iPhone 15 models would use this design.
Ming-Chi Kuo wrote the following about the iPhone 16‘s Face ID under the screen technology:
” I think the real full-screen iPhone will come in 2024. High-end iPhones in 2024 would adopt an under-display front camera alongside the under-display Face ID. A low-light condition is detrimental to front camera quality, and ISP & algorithm are critical for quality improvements.”
Additionally, we know virtually little about the iPhone 16’s capabilities. According to current reports, the periscope lens will begin appearing on iPhone Pro models in 2023.
On the other side, 9to5Mac reports that the iPhone 14’s standard edition will include the same A15 Bionic CPU as the iPhone 13 series. Meanwhile, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be equipped with the more advanced A16 Bionic processor.
The forthcoming iPhone 14 is also rumored to feature improvements to the front camera and primary sensors.
