Social networking apps are constantly stealing features from one another to stay current. Over the years, Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube have all imitated one other’s features.
Shorts, YouTube‘s app for short films akin to TikTok, was launched in 2020 and has accumulated five trillion views as of January 2022.
YouTube Shorts will be coming iPad and Android tablets soon
This figure includes all platforms that support YouTube Shorts, such as Android phones and computers. Prior to that, tablets (both Android and iOS) were unable to access this version of YouTube.
However, YouTube fans will be happy to know that Shorts will be available on Android and iOS tablets soon. While they won’t be available on both platforms at the same time, at least we know YouTube has plans to make Shorts available for tablets soon.
According to YouTube, the Shorts option will be rolled out in the “coming weeks” to the YouTube apps for Android and iPad. Tablet users will notice a Shorts option in the YouTube app once the new functionality is launched.
