The iPhone 14 will save more power and have a longer battery life than its predecessor thanks to the deployment of a new 5G transceiver.

Apple is considering utilizing TSMC’s 5G transceiver chip instead of Samsung’s in the iPhone 14 series, according to Economic Daily News. According to this source, TSMC has recently secured a contract with Apple to supply this component.

At the TSMC Technology Forum 2021, TSMC unveiled their 6 nm 5G RF chip. This chip’s energy-saving features will enable the iPhone 14 last longer than its predecessor, the iPhone 13. ( it still supports 2 bands Sub-6GHz and mmWave).

Apple has recently placed the iPhone 14 into trial production, according to certain sources. The iPhone 14 series will be released in September if nothing changes.

According to rumors, Apple will release four iPhone 14 models this year: the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
