Apple is considering utilizing TSMC’s 5G transceiver chip instead of Samsung’s in the iPhone 14 series, according to Economic Daily News. According to this source, TSMC has recently secured a contract with Apple to supply this component.
At the TSMC Technology Forum 2021, TSMC unveiled their 6 nm 5G RF chip. This chip’s energy-saving features will enable the iPhone 14 last longer than its predecessor, the iPhone 13. ( it still supports 2 bands Sub-6GHz and mmWave).
Apple has recently placed the iPhone 14 into trial production, according to certain sources. The iPhone 14 series will be released in September if nothing changes.
