The premium member of the S series has always had a 40MP selfie camera since the first Galaxy S20 Ultra, but that may change with the next generation in 2023. According to the most recent GalaxyClub leak, the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which will be released in February 2023, may include a new lower-resolution sensor.
The resolution of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra selfie camera will be reduced
Previous leaks indicate that the Galaxy S23 and S23+ will finally have an upgraded selfie camera. The 10MP selfie camera, in particular, will be upgraded to 12MP. The same sensor is used by the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s selfie camera.
This appears to be an upgrade for the S23 and S23+, but it is a downgrade for the Ultra. However, as most of you are aware, pixel count isn’t everything. As a result, we can still expect the selfie camera on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra to be of higher quality than its predecessor.
