Recently, a member of the Korean site Naver with the nickname yeux1122 shared an image that is believed to be an iPhone 14 Pro case. When attached to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, we easily notice that the size of the camera cluster on the case has a clear difference.
iPhone 14 Pro camera cluster is very large
Specifically, the border that the hole for each lens, LED flash and LiDAR sensor on the case is larger than that of its predecessor. This means that the iPhone 14 Pro camera cluster will be much larger in size than on the iPhone 13 Pro.
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from TF International Securities, the reason for the increase in the size of the iPhone 14 Pro camera cluster comes from a series of camera hardware upgrades.
First, Apple uses a 48 MP sensor for the first time instead of 12 MP like every year. The sensor diameter is expected to increase by 25-35%, while the convexity will increase by 5-10% compared to its predecessor.
Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman also said that the telephoto camera and ultra-wide angle camera of the iPhone 14 Pro have also been greatly upgraded, helping to record 8K videos and take photos in low light conditions better.
All these reasons will lead to the iPhone 14 Pro camera cluster being larger than the iPhone 13 Pro.
