Apple Watch Series 8 could have an entirely new design with a flat screen, according to Macrumors. This information was recently provided on the social media platform Twitter by the account “ShrimpApplePro.”
Apple Watch Series 8 will feature a flat design with three different models
Jon Prosser claims in his recent video on YouTube channel Front Page Tech that Apple Watch Series 8 will have a flat screen. The Apple Watch Series 7 was previously speculated to sport a similar look, but it never materialized.
Prosser started a rumor in May of last year that Apple was working on a new Apple Watch with flat, square sides. CAD drawings of this device were later shared by several sites.
Prosser speculated at the time that this design could be for the Apple Watch Series 7. He did not rule out the possibility that it will emerge later on the Apple Watch Series 8.
Apple Watch Series 7 was released in September with a rounded-corner design. Flat screens will also debut on a new range of Apple goods, according to the insider, including the iPhone 14.
Apple is expected to release three new Apple Watch models this year, including the Apple Watch Series 8, the second-generation Apple Watch SE, and the Apple Watch Explorer Edition for outdoor athletes. The flat bezel design may be used on any of these new models, according to Prosser.
In the Apple rumor community, ShrimpApplePro is becoming increasingly well-known. This account previously offered a first look at the iPhone 14 Pro’s “piece and hole” True Depth camera array. ShrimpApplePro anticipated the Apple Watch Series 7 would have the same rounded shape as the Apple Watch Series 6, but with slimmer bezels, last year.
As a result of the new knowledge, Prosser has revealed Ian Zelbo renders of the Apple Watch Series 8 with a flat bezel design. Body temperature monitoring is believed to be included in the Apple Watch Series 8. The activity tracking features may be upgraded in this version as well.
