Fortnite returns to iOS

Microsoft has teamed with Epic Games to bring Fortnite free to play on Xbox Cloud Gaming, according to Engadget. Registration is not required. You may play the battle royale game through a web browser on your iPhone, iPad, Android smartphone, or Windows PC if you have a Microsoft account in one of the 26 countries that enable streaming.

Both controller and touch are supported in the streaming version. If you wish to fight AI villains in the Save the World campaign, you’ll have to pay.

Other free titles will be “brought” to Xbox Cloud Gaming, according to Microsoft.

Fortnite returns to iOS

This isn’t the first time Microsoft has done something like this. NVIDIA has also made Fortnite available to its ‘cloud gaming’ members on Apple devices.

However, because Microsoft’s audience is larger than that of casual players, this is a more obvious problem. They also supported Epic while the business battled Apple over App Store restrictions and prices.
