Apple will launch the next iPad Pro this fall

Next iPad Pro (iPad Pro 2022) is expected to be released this fall, according to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman.

Next iPad Pro

Gurman predicted the new tablet will include MagSafe inductive charging and Apple’s long-rumored but undisclosed M2 processor in his current Power On newsletter. This information confirms the earlier 9to5mac leak once more.

As of the company’s most recent hardware event, the iPad Air and iPad Pro both feature the M1 chip. Apple last updated the iPad Pro in 2021 to add 5G and Thunderbolt connectivity as well as a first-generation Apple Silicon system on chip.

Next iPad Pro

The iPad Pro is more or less similar in design between versions from 2018 when the company refreshed the tablet to bring it to the now iconic edge-to-edge display.

Since then, they have used this design for all their tablet models, including the aforementioned iPad mini and iPad Air.

The M2’s specifications are scarce, but it was supposedly put into production in April of last year. According to most sources, the M2 will use the same eight-core CPU as its predecessor, but thanks to TSMC’s new 4-nanometer fabrication process, it will be quicker and more efficient.
