According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp beta version 22.7.0.76 now supports iOS 15.
In case you’re curious, this source explains that while WhatsApp indirectly supports some iOS 15 capabilities, it doesn’t mean the app is fully compatible with the latest iPhone OS.
WhatsApp for iOS, for example, now shows profile images in notifications and supports focus mode after months of testing. However, the business is now ready to fully support iOS 15 with this latest beta.
Another difference is that the toolbar is fully dark if there are no other UI elements nearby, as shown in the screenshot below. The Settings section has the same functionality.
It’s also worth noting that the company is getting set to enable cross-device 2.0, implying that an iPad-specific app will be released soon. Message reactions are also supported in WhatsApp beta for Android. This feature will soon be accessible in iOS beta.
