According to 9to5mac, Apple is working on a new MacBook Air with a 15-inch screen that will be released next year, according to a source from Display Supply Chain Consulting Company (DSCC). Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently claimed that this new MacBook would be delivered by the end of 2023, but that it would not be dubbed “Air.”
Kuo stated on his Twitter account that major production of the next 15-inch MacBook would begin in the fourth quarter of 2023, and that the release date of the device at the end of the year is on track. Despite the lack of information on the computer, the analyst claims that it will use the same 30W power adaptor as the current MacBook Air but with a larger screen.
Interestingly, contrary to what DSCC stated in its analysis, Ming-Chi Kuo believes that this new MacBook will not be branded “MacBook Air.” According to DSCC, Apple aims to raise the display size of the low-end MacBook Air and release a larger version.
According to 9to5Mac, Apple is working on at least two new MacBook Air models for 2023, according to independent sources. However, the M2 chip and an entirely different architecture are expected in the 2022 model. new, will be available in only one size option.
Another report claims that Apple is considering dropping the word “Pro” from the 13-inch MacBook Pro’s moniker. With the M2 chip, this device is also likely to get an upgrade this year.
Based on all of these speculations, it appears that Apple will be making significant modifications to its Mac lineup.
